The two most important elements of a website
Think about building a house. What do you need? You need the structure - floor, walls, ceiling, windows. Then you need to choose the materials, colors and furniture so that they can give you maximum satisfaction and, at the end, make a home from the house. It is the same with websites.
Having a well-established website is one of the most important digital assets for every B2B organisation. I my view the two most important elements of a B2B website are the content and UX/UI design. The website content should present the company or organization in a rather structured way. Among the imperative website sections should be one dedicated to information and named “about us”, another one dedicated to News and contact details. Any further website categories should reflect the activities of the organization and the needs of its audience.
The other important element is the UX/ UI design. The first one means “user experience design” and the second one – “user interface design”. The main goal of UX is to delight users with the experience of using the information and functions on the website. UI covers the graphic design and visual part of the website that in the end should provide a pleasant experience for users using appropriate color combinations, images and fonts. Ensuring that both UX and UI are in balance means that the website has almost achieved its goals.
Whether you are heading towards a brand new website or revamp of your current one, it will be good to always put the users and their needs first. Having said that, do ask them about their opinion and how do they find interacting with your website. Look for key words like “easy”, “quick”, “I can find”, “like”, “use”, etc. The more of these you are able to get from your users, the more satisfied they are.
